Bogentandler News : Brownell Resurrection
The inventor of Fast Flight yarn is back on the market!
The history of the traditional company Brownell & Company can be traced back to 1844. Around 1922, the development of string material for archery began, including the world-famous Fast Flight yarn.
However, the Brownell company disappeared from the radar around 2019, the reasons for this are rumoured, but the company announced in 2020 that it wanted to find its way back onto the market.
Following the takeover by Peruvian owners, production has now restarted, with wholesalers finally reporting available stocks of B50 Dacron, Fast Flight Plus, #4 yarn and the indispensable Diamondback winding yarn.
The very first version of our shop went online in 2013 and Brownell's products were among the first items we added back then, most of them with single-digit item IDs. In the meantime, we have reached item ID > 8300 and we are a little nostalgic that we can now offer the products of the supposed market leader again.
Brownell is back - and "made in Peru"!
