The inventor of Fast Flight yarn is back on the market! The history of the traditional company Brownell & Company can be traced back to 1844. Around 1922, the development of string material for archery began, including the world-famous Fast Flight yarn. However, the Brownell company disappeared from the radar around 2019, the reasons for this are rumoured, but the company announced in 2020 that it wanted to find its way back onto the market. Following the takeover by Peruvian owners, production has now restarted, with wholesalers finally reporting available stocks of B50 Dacron, Fast Flight Plus, #4 yarn and the indispensable Diamondback winding yarn. The very first version of our shop went...
We would like to give you a brief insight into our work - we cut countless carbon shafts and arrows every day, because this is something you can't do at home without the necessary tools. But having your own arrow cutting machine is not cost-effective for everyone, which is why we offer professional cuts. Each cut is sanded flat on the edge and then deburred. So that our customers don't lose any precision!
In the following video, Elli shows you how to assemble a beginner's recurve bow with screw fittings, how to string and unstring it and how to disassemble it again. It is essential that a recurve bow is strung with a suitable stringing aid, as this is the only way to prevent damage to the limbs. The video also explains how to distinguish between the upper and lower limbs, even if the limbs are not labelled accordingly. The video is completed by a brief explanation of the brace height and how to change it, as well as a short lesson on unstringing the bow.
Uukha Sx+, a confession of love of a different kind. I've been bitten by the bug for almost 5 years now. It always had to be a hunting recurve, and at some point you've been through everything and know halfway what you really need - or don't need. So after 4 years I finally got my dream bow. It had to be a handmade centrepiece from a god-blessed "handle carver" and a couple of French carbon beauties that had to make do with the profane name "Uukha Irbis Nature Evo2". Well, what can I say - everything I had in my hands so far, and that was quite a lot, went to the corner, or rather to the relevant 2nd hand sites for similarly crazy people with an affinity for bows. I thought I was in bow...
