Traditional Strings

Traditional strings are primarily intended for use on hunting bows (regardless of the design, i.e. one-piece or take-down). This includes wooden recurve bows, hybrid bows, longbows and horse bows. Flemish spliced strings are usually used, but endless strings are also suitable for various applications. Traditional strings are mainly made from Dacron or D97 thread, but occasionally also from Fast Flight or other high performance yarns.

Flemish strings: the strands are laid over a string board and interwoven using a special splicing technique. The loops are not wrapped separately.

If you buy a string, the length you order specifies the AMO bow length - not the absolute string length! So if you own a 68" bow, you will need to order a 68" string accordingly (which will have the correct length between 64,5" and 65,0" then).
